Obesity: we become less active as we grow older, and taking more energy than we exhaust will make us overweight. Difficulty in Swallowing: this can be a problem with older individuals, particularly those who experienced a stroke. Constipation: less mobility and difficulty in swallowing can lead to weight loss. Weight loss: swallowing difficulties and poor appetite lead to lose of weight. Nutritional deficiencies: Vit. C and D, Iron and Folic Acid are listed to be among the most typical deficiencies found in older persons. We need to detect the changes that are happening inside our own body, this is a good start to prevention. Maintaining a healthy diet and a daily exercise might be difficult, but this is needed to combat the diseases we obtain or prevent it.
